It will be a lovely summertime at House Sussex as the family of three -- Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and their son Archie Harrison -- are heading for a short trip to Scotland.
Sources told Us Weekly that Prince Harry and Meghan have decided to visit the Queen's summer residence, Balmoral Castle in Scotland, in the next couple of months. They'll make the trip before the Sussex royals fly to South Africa in the fall.
"Harry and Meghan will be visiting Balmoral Castle in Scotland and will bring Archie with them," the source said. "They're excited he'll get to spend some quality time with his great-grandmother [Queen Elizabeth II] at her summer residence."
Meanwhile, Archie, the seventh in line to the throne, is set to be baptized on Saturday, July 6, at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle. The very private affair will only have less than 25 guests and the Queen won't be in attendance since she has flown to her summer house.
According to TIME, the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby will baptize the new baby with water from the River Jordan. Archie is expected to wear the family heirloom, a lacey white satin-lined gown which has been worn by over 60 royal kids in the last 163 years since Queen Victoria. However, this gown will be a replica since a newer version has been made in 2008 to preserve the original heirloom.
Grandparents Prince Charles and his wife Duchess Camilla, as well as Meghan's mom, Doria Ragland, are likely to be attending the baptism. It's unclear if Prince Harry's older brother Prince William will be at the event with his wife and kids, Kate Middleton, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. However, Prince Harry was at the baptisms of his nephews a few years ago but missed Charlotte's because he was on an official royal trip.
After the baptism, the brothers are going to a joint event for the very first time in years. According to Kensington Palace, Prince Harry and Prince William will have an old-fashioned sporting competition at the King Power Royal Charity Polo Day on Wednesday, July 10.
The event is in support of 15 charities that both dukes advocate. But their joint participation should help clear the air about the brothers' alleged feud over Prince Harry's relationship with Meghan and the Sussex's split from The Royal Foundation.
Meanwhile, later this year, the Sussex royals are also planning to fly to Los Angeles to visit Meghan's mother following their South African trip. The Duchess of Sussex is apparently keen to immerse Archie in his American heritage as well.
