July 6 marks the royal christening of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's firstborn, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor and as expected, everybody is excited. However, rumors are already circulating of a decade-long feud between the Royals, specifically Princess Anne and Prince Charles.

And because of a past decision of who will be the godparents of Prince William and Prince Harry, the royal siblings haven't really got over it. And so, every royal christening, perhaps, would remind them of the disappointment of not being on the list.

There were already differences in personality and compatibility for Prince Charles and Princess Anne that is why even in the past as teenagers, they did not get along very well. A writer of the book Charles, Prince of Wales, Anthony Holden described the young Prince Charles as having a distant relationship with her sister Princess Anne because they had different interests and friends and therefore pursued separate lives.

But the story behind Princess Anne and Prince Charles' silent feud started from the royal christening of Prince William. The only daughter of Queen Elizabeth II expected that she will be on the list of godparents on Prince William's christening but much to her disappointment, her expectation reached for the next two years when Prince Harry will be baptized.

She was all the more frustrated when Prince Albert was on the list of the six godparents for Prince Harry, that she opted to play shooting with her then-husband Mark Phillips. There are also rumors that Prince Charles and the Duke of Edinburgh "are not talking" while some source claims it is because Princess Anne is the latter's favorite child.

Another issue pertaining to Archie's christening was the decision of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to make the royal event private. Even the list of godparents and guests are not to be disclosed to the public.

Much to the disappointment of their followers, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will not disclose the list of their chosen godparents for Archie Harrison's christening. Buckingham Palace said in a statement on Wednesday that the royal parents have already requested that the christening at Windsor Castle at the St George's Chapel will be private and some details will be disclosed after the said royal event.

The royal couple also forbids people from taking photos of the christening, and even photographers would not be allowed to take pictures of the guests who are going in and coming out of the chapel. With this announcement, some are already taking it way too far by researching it, and according to a royal correspondent, the Royal Family would be accused of breaching a legal requirement as per the rule of the Church of England.

According to a rule in the Church of England, the details of all christenings, including the names of all the godparents, are a matter of public record and therefore have to be published.

Even the one under the Parochial Registers and Records Measure 1978, although the baptism of Archie Harrison is very much registered, the records are for public information in regards to public searches and for the making of certified copies of entries.

However, the Queen is the Supreme Governor of the Church of England and has the power to force an exception to the law for Archie's christening. In her rule of a Royal Peculiar, the diocese' rules on both the Church of England and the Parochial Registers will not take effect, thus the details of the christening remains to be private.
