The battle between Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) will continue in Cobra Kai Season 3. However, their fights will not only be seen on YouTube but also in a new comic book.

Before Cobra Kai Season 3 comes out, fans will see Johnny and Daniel's fights in a new comic book, titled Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues. In collaboration with IDW Publishing, Overbrook Entertainment, and Sony Pictures Television, they "develop new stories set within the continuity of the YouTube Premium original series."

Written and illustrated by Denton J. Tipton and Kagam McLeod, respectively, the comic book will tell the story of The Karate Kid through Johnny's eyes, per SlashFilm. When the new kid makes some moves to get the girl that broke Johnny's heart, he promises to do everything to win back his love, the same story he tells his students almost 35 years later.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Zabka, he told Pop Culture there would be "big changes" in Cobra Kai Season 3. It would also go "much deeper and wider" within its story.

After the cliffhanging Season 2 finale, Zabka revealed there is a lot of clean up to do in the new season. All of the characters seem broken, while there are storylines that need to be continued, including the return of John Kreese (Martin Kove).

John will once again reveal his "no mercy" philosophy. Since he appeared in the original film franchise, he had depicted an unforgivable villain, who taught his students to show no mercy to their enemies.

With John's arrival, Zabka revealed there would be a battle between the two for the dojo in Cobra Kai Season 3. Unfortunately, the 53-year-old star can't give more details about the latest season, as the writers are still working on its new episodes.

However, he promised the new season would be more fun than what they have already shown. He even said there would be an addition to what was "really coming into Johnny's eyes."

"Now that we've zoomed back into the valley and picked up these young martial artists in Miyagi-Do, now we're going to track them all," he said. "It's going to be a fun journey."

There is also a possibility that Johnny's ex-girlfriend, Ali Mills (Elisabeth Shue), will return to Cobra Kai Season 3. Although this news has yet to be confirmed, Zabka seems to be positive about her arrival.

As there are also talks about Shue's appearance, fans may see Ali and Johnny together again on the small screen. Cobra Kai Season 3 is set to be out on YouTube Original in 2020.
