Ford officially unveiled the 2020 F-Series Super Duty Tremor Off-Road Package just last month. The car manufacturer said that this series is the most legitimate off-road Super Duty lineup it has ever produced. This quickly gains attention from the public, and interests skyrocketed. More recently, reports speculate that Ford is seriously considering releasing an F-150 pickup with the Tremor package.

The report first came out of noted publication Ford Authority. They have worked on a number of rumors and speculations in the past regarding Ford, and most of them turned out to be true. Now, if Ford is really working on a Ford F-150 Tremor model, this could certainly be the company's most powerful pickup model.

Speculation over this rumored F-150 Tremor started in June when a never-before-seen pickup truck is being tested on Ford's backyard. It has all the liveries of an F-150 Raptor, but it has quite a shortened body length. Ford Authority first speculated, based on its investigation, that it might be a full-sized Ford Bronco. Nevertheless, they were able to get insider tips that the pickup in question is actually an F-150 fitted with all the new features of the Tremor off-road package.

For those who are not familiar with the Tremor package, it is Ford's off-road package which was released for the F-250 and the F-350 Super Duty models. Among the upgrades included in the Tremor package are the huge 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires, a new Dana limited slip front differential, a two-inch suspension lift, and an FX4-sourced skid plates. These are some of the most high-end parts one can ask for a pickup truck.

Based on rumors circulating online, the F-150 Tremor will be lightweight, despite all these new upgrades. Just like its Super Duty Tremor cousins, the F-150 Tremor will most likely find its niche in rock crawling and trail exploration. That is a completely different turn from its usual high-speed setup.

Should Ford push through with working on this project, it will take around two to three years before it officially hits the market. Nevertheless, the company can always just offer it as an upgrade package for its existing lineup of F-150 pickup trucks. This might be a little tricky to pull-off, but it will surely gain attention, and it is a great way to enliven sales.

Ford has yet to comment on the development of this story.
