It looks like Star Wars Episode 9 is not quite finished yet. Although the film had reportedly wrapped back in February 2019, a new report suggests that there are some scenes that are being reshot in England. In addition to that, there are speculations that the new scenes will involve the Millennium Falcon and some of the main characters in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. But will the final chapter of the Skywalker Saga end differently because of the new scenes?
Back in February, the cast and crew of Star Wars Episode 9 confirmed that they have finally wrapped filming the sequel. Director J.J. Abrams even shared a photo from the set of The Rise of Skywalker that showed Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, and Oscar Isaac hugging each other. Although it appears that the image was taken on the last day of their shoot, it was later revealed that it was taken much earlier. However, it looks like the stars aren't quite done with the movie just yet.
A new report has revealed that Black Park close to Pinewoods Studio is being prepared for the shooting of a Hollywood film. According to a source, there is a possibility that it could be a different movie but eagle-eyed fans have noticed that filming is being set up close to where the Millennium Falcon was previously shot. The area in the park is being fenced off from July until September. In addition to that, a security guard has been assigned to watch out for photographers.
The news is certainly a big surprise for fans who are already expecting Star Wars Episode 9 to be in post-production. Some even believe that an early cut of The Rise of Skywalker is already being screened on test audiences. However, there is a possibility that certain scenes are not getting a positive reaction from people. With that in mind, Disney and Lucasfilm might be making some last minute changes to the film.
So what exactly are they changing? For now, it is still unclear since there have been no real leaks about The Rise of Skywalker. On the other hand, some fans believe that it might have something to do with what will happen to the Millennium Falcon at the end of Star Wars Episode 9. There's a possibility that the ship will end up with Rey, but people are hoping that Lando Calrissian can ultimately take the Falcon back.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is scheduled for release on December 20.
