After George R.R. Martin's revelations about Game of Thrones Prequel, a new leak is now circulating online, hinting Naomi Watts' role in the series. A Twitter fan account dedicated to the actress revealed a set photo of the 50-year-old star in character.

The Naomi Watts Source user shared a short clip of Watts' photo while being ushered by some staff at Grotta del Turco in Gaeta, Italy. True to her character description, she looked as a socialite while dressed in a posh gold long gown while her blonde hair is neatly tied upward.

Earlier reports revealed the spinoff series is set to film in Gaeta, and now the camera starts rolling there. Game of Thrones Prequel's production also takes place in Belfast, Northern Island, where the original series also took place.

According to BGR, filming in Italy started last week, so Watts' photo with some of the crew members and the Grotta del Turco sign behind her only proved it is from the show's set. The Gypsy star is one of the biggest names that will lead the spinoff known so far, so fans are eager to know what character is she playing.

There are assumptions Watts will play the role of a Lannister. However, Martin earlier revealed Game of Thrones Prequel would not feature the Lannisters at the beginning of the story. But, they may be introduced in the latter part of the tale.

But as the show is only filming its pilot episode, Watts may be a part of the first story. Hence, Mashable noted she might be playing the role of an important family member of House Casterly.

Casterly Rock will play a significant part in Game of Thrones Prequel. There are even theories Grotta del Turco may be used as this house's location.

However, there are also claims that Watts may be playing the role of Lann the Clever. Although this character is famously known as a man, HBO may put a twist in the story.

Lann the Clever is believed to be the bastard of Florys the Fox or Rowan Gold-Tree, legendary daughters of Garth Greenhand. He is the smart guy who took the Casterly Rock from the Casterlys and started the House Lannister.

Watts' involvement in Game of Thrones Prequel will surely give a twist in the show. So, fans have to wait and see how things will play out in the series when it comes out either in 2020 or 2021 on HBO.
