Read at your own risk: This article contains spoilers for Stranger Things Season 4.

The third season of Stranger Things has just arrived a few weeks ago. But considering how the show has been long missed by its fans, the majority of its fandom have surely binge-watched the and finished the whole season. This is why there are already a lot of people who are wondering when the new season will arrive on Netflix. Or to a more accurate approach, if there will a new season of the show.

Sadly, there are no confirmations yet concerning the show's renewal. Even so, there are already talks of Stranger Things Season 4. In fact, the discussion about the fourth installment even started way back in 2018 ahead of its third season run.

According to Inverse, the executive producer, Shawn Levy, revealed in an interview on that year that Stranger Things will reach at least up to fourth season run. So, naturally, the fandom is expecting for the show's continuation after the recent installment.

The show has been a massive hit ever since its first arrival on Netflix. It immediately picked up its audience and obtained a positive reception from the mass. Accordingly, it would make "no sense" if the show gets cancelled.

However, it is still worth noting that Netflix's renewal decisions have become very volatile these days. Some of its highest-rated original contents like Santa Clarita Diet still got axed despite having a good reception from its audience. Hence, there are still a few people who are worried that the series might not happen.

Yet, some fans who already finished the current run have pointed out that Stranger Things Season 3 left its plot with open-ended storylines. One great example of this is Hopper's arc. As it happened, his body has never been found after the explosion in the Russian lab. And while there are assumptions that he has already died, there is still a good chance that he would return which can only happen if the show will continue.

Normally, Netflix releases its renewal decisions a month after the show's premiere. So, new details will likely emerge by August or September about its fourth season renewal or cancellation decision.

If in case Stranger Things gets a green light from Netflix to continue its run, it is possible that it will arrive in 2020. But so far, these are the only details that have been shared about the path of the series.
