The youngest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson was revealed to have had some "naughty" activities during her university years. Just like any other ordinary students who have occasional reasons not to attend their classes, skipping it for dating and shopping during class hours are but normal.
But because of holding a not-so-serious title and responsibilities in the British Monarchy, Princess Eugenie of York who currently is in the tenth in the line of succession to the British throne had a lesser or none at all punishment. It was at the time when the school year was about to end, Princess Eugenie and some female friends were caught "naked" by unnamed school personnel, dancing in the school grounds.
Given her still "royal profile," her behavior was indeed beyond imaginable, but instead of a higher sanction, the royal and her friends were only reprimanded and was ordered not to repeat the said activity. Reports said that while the school investigated the misdemeanor, there were "no males" present at that time, and no drugs involved.
However, because alcohol might slip into security, there was a big possibility that Princess Eugenie and friends might be drinking and has lost control of themselves, due to the celebratory mood of ending another school term. Princess Eugenie boarded at Marlborough College in Wiltshire for five years, and reportedly the £23,000-a-year college let the said event pass.
Princess Eugenie stopped for a while and was reported to have taken a gap year in Cambodia when the terrible incident happened to her. The incident happened when the young royal decided to stroll the streets of Phnom Penh at night with some friends. If not for the two bodyguards, Princess Eugenie and friends would have been victimized by a violent gang of thieves called a mugger.
Since the attempted kidnapping of Princess Anne, royal guards have always been keen to these sudden attacks and sees to it to prioritize the safety of any member of the British Monarchy. After that incident, Princess Eugenie opted to go back and stayed in the same college until 2009 where she began studying at Newcastle University in September 2009, as she majors in Art History, English Literature, and Politics.
Princess Eugenie gets to work in New York City for one year for the online auction firm Paddle8 as a benefit auctions manager. In July 2015, she moved back to London to work for the Hauser & Wirth art gallery as an associate director and was promoted to be a director in 2017.
Because of their stature as a non-working royal, some thought that keeping them within the royal fund was a waste of taxpayer's money and allegedly there were also issues between Prince Andrew and Prince Charles in terms of that. Fortunately, Princess Eugenie already wed Jack Brooksbank, and Princess Beatrice is currently dating Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
