It was recently disclosed that the First Lady played a significant role in calling President Donald Trump's attention to the situation of the American rapper A$AP Rocky in Sweden.

The President revealed Friday that his wife, Melania Trump, was responsible for apprising him about A$AP Rocky (in real life, Rakim Mayers) and the star's involvement in a brawl while abroad, which had ended up in the Bronx native's and a couple of people on his team becoming arrested.

Trump has assured the media that the American government is doing what it can to assist A$AP Rocky. In the light of the interest of several people who the President has said have expressed to him their concern over the circumstances of the rapper, developments on the case are being looked forward to.

The President, admittedly, said he did not know the rapper, but shared he had plans of reaching the Swedish Prime Minister, who he referred to as "very talented" in a tweet. He said he planned to find out what could be done to help the young rapper.

As per Donald Trump, the First Lady has been instrumental in the steps now being taken to bring A$AP Rocky back to the home front. She also added her voice to his, assuring the public that something is already being done about it and that it is being hoped A$AP Rocky would be "home soon."

It was previously reported that, on June 30, while in the aforementioned country, an altercation with the performer, which had been supposedly started by locals from the area of the incident, took place. There had even been a video taken of the ruckus as it happened, and there were a couple of witnesses as well.

The entertainer had gone directly to the area police to explain the incident. However, he was instead detained along with his group members. At the time, there had been concerns on the singer's rights having been violated, after a representative from the American embassy had been refused access to the detainees.

The case is being prepared by the prosecution team which is said to conclude in July 25. There have been concerns and questions raised why, despite there being recorded proof of the whole incident by uninterested parties, A$AP Rocky is said to be facing some serious charges.

The judge who is assigned to the case decided that A$AP Rocky is a flight risk, after case prosecutors argued for the singer's continued detention. The music artist's attorney has called this decision as unfair and undeserved.

Amid a revealing report on the predicament of the 30-year-old hip hop artist, which has been called "systematic racism" by another American rapper, G-Eazy---known as Gerald Gillium in real life---there has been some comment and support from the entertainment industry and the "African American community" according to the President.

The "white rapper" G-Eazy shared in the separate report that Rocky's plight was a "sad truth" and proof of "white privilege" having been at play, after describing his own experience of the Swedish process as being different. The 30-year-old philanthropist from Oakland, California, posted on social media has shared his thoughts on the matter, saying Rocky "should not" even be "behind bars" at this moment.

Another rapper, Kanye West, who is a known Trump supporter, has also been in touch with the Office of the President via his wife, Kim Kardashian. Both are rooting for "justice" to be served for A$AP Rocky.

President Trump did not say though when A$AP Rocky could go free, only that he had already put Mike Pompeo, the U.S. Secretary of State, on the matter. There was also some initial confusion as to who had brought the matter to him, as another report had stated Kardashian had gotten in touch with Ivanka Trump who had relayed the matter to the President.

But in his interview addressing the issue, he clarified that it had been Melania who asked if he could help in the matter concerning A$AP Rocky.
