The latest episode of Euphoria has once again proven that you never know what will happen in the HBO series. Although it was no surprise that Christopher 'Chris' McKay had been pressured all his life to be a professional football player, no one expected Nate Jacobs and Maddy Perez to come up with an elaborate scheme to get out of trouble. In addition to that, Rue Bennett's own story continues to get more complicated. But did the preview for Euphoria Season 1 Episode 7 just reveal how the show is going to end?
In 'The Next Episode', it was revealed that McKay's father has always wanted his son to become a professional football player. However, McKay himself isn't quite sure. McKay actually spends most of the episode pondering about whether he has what it takes to go pro. When he finally talks to his dad, it is revealed that his father truly believes McKay is capable of turning football into a career.
It is also revealed that Nate has been temporarily suspended after Maddy's family filed a case against him but it doesn't stop the couple from going on secret meetings at a motel. As it turns out, Nate and Maddy have come up with a way to deal with their problem. Right before Halloween, Nate once again threatens Tyler into confessing to Maddy's assault. In addition to that, he blackmailed Jules Vaughn to testify against Trevor.
Euphoria Season 1 Episode 6 concluded with Nate and Maddy being victorious and going to a party together where everyone cheers them on. However, everybody else has some major problems. Cassie Howard realizes that she has been missing her period while Rue is getting concerned by Jules' erratic behavior. In addition to that, it looks like Kat Hernandez has hooked up with Daniel.
So what is happening in Euphoria Season 1 Episode 7? The preview confirms that it is time to learn about Cassie, who Rue says is "perfect" although her family is not. Nevertheless, Cassie has made a few mistakes that she can't come back from. Could Rue be talking about Cassie's infamous sexual history or her current situation?
Cal Jacobs isn't quite pleased with Nate getting out of his predicament, either. "I don't know how you got out of this situation," he tells his son. "I just hope it didn't teach you the wrong lesson." But Rue appears to have the best line in the preview as she tells Jules, "You know this isn't gonna end well."
Euphoria Season 1 Episode 7 is titled 'The Trials and Tribulations of Trying to Pee While Depressed'. It will air on HBO on July 28.
