August is just about to come, but Disneyland is now gearing up for Halloween. After revealing Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure's plan for the spooky season, Disneyland Paris will be adding new improvements to the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror attraction in time for the Halloween.
The ride will be featuring new tales with updated sound and visual effects, all-new drop sequences, and the appearance of an iconic character. The management hopes this new addition will attract longtime park goers and new visitors to discover the enhancements they added to the attraction.
"At Disneyland Paris, we regularly want to reinvent the guest experience to continue to surprise them and bring them new thrills and emotions," Walt Disney Imagineering show design and production director Bjorn Heerwagen said, via Attractions Magazine. "We look forward to unveiling the new drop sequences and effects at the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, which will create memorable and terrifying memories for guests of the Hollywood Tower Hotel."
The new addition will officially be seen starting on Sept. 28, which is also the start date of Disneyland's Halloween Festival. Business Times recently reported the park already revealed its lineup of events for the Halloween season.
Starting on Sept 6., visitors can expect to see Halloween decorations at the Main Street, U.S.A. at Disneyland Park. Feel the Halloween spirit as early as September with its spooky overlays and designs. It will also feature the Pumpkin Festival that has the giant Mickey Mouse jack-o'-lantern.
On its 50th anniversary, the Haunted Mansion will also carry the theme of Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas. There will also be new additions like a new projection and special effects called Halloween Screams at the park to add some fun on the upcoming spooky nights. It will also feature a spectacular firework display on select nights.
Of course, Disney California will be filled with Halloween decorations and designs, starting with a 10-foot statue of the Headless Horseman. There will also be flying bats at the Carthay Circle at Buena Vista Street.
Park-goers can also celebrate the Halloween at Radiator Springs at Cars Land. Mater's Graveyard JamBOOree and Luigi's Honkin' Haul-O-Ween will also be transformed to have a spooky theme.
Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! will also become Guardians of the Galaxy - Monsters After Dark in time for the Halloween. Miguel, from the movie Coco, too, will join the fun with Día de Los Muertos at Paradise Gardens Park.
