Amid talks that their eldest daughter Princess Beatrice and her beau Edo Mapelli Mozzi are considering getting married, it seems that the Duke and Duchess of York, Prince Andrew and Sarah "Fergie" Ferguson may be beating them to the altar.
Royal experts are currently hinting that the good relationship between Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson could lead to remarriage. iTV royal editor Chris Ship did not beat around the bush when he posted on Twitter that the royals are back together after over two decades of divorce, Express Uk reported.
Following a joint visit to Bahrain earlier this year, Ship tweeted: "Royal relationship back on. Prince Andrew and Fergie back together more than 20 years after they divorced."
This comes as good news for fans of the royal family who have watched the evolution of the relationship between the Duke and Duchess of York, from their courtship to their wedding in 1986 to their divorce in 1996. Fans have followed their close relationship for 23 years and secretly hoped that they would reconcile and get back together.
Speculations of reconciliation were fueled by the former couple's glowing words about each other and the frequency of their outings together. In a recent interview, Sarah Ferguson raised hopes of reconciliation when she explained her version of a fairy tale with Prince Andrew. "We enjoy each other's company; we allow each other to blossom. I know it sounds like a fairy tale, but that's the way we are."
In a separate interview with Hello! Magazine, the duchess also said that it is normal for her and her ex-husband to do things together since they have two beautiful children together -- Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. However, fans were quick to pounce on her description of the couple's relationship as "bigger than friends."
Rumors of remarriage first surfaced after Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson arrived at the Royal Ascot together this year. During the event, spectators were quick to spot that the diamond earrings and necklace that the duchess wore were the same ones she wore on her wedding to the duke in 1986, New Idea Australia reported.
Fergie also openly posts photos of her ex-husband on her Instagram account.

Meanwhile, fans are also speculating if reconciliation reports are connected to a recent spotting of Fergie in an event in Capri accompanied by an unidentified gentleman.
Since there were no overt signs that Fergie was on a date with the man, fans of the royals are unsure whether the appearance of the gentleman could put a spoke on the Duke and Duchess' relationship.
