BLACKPINK has no intention on relinquishing its dominance on youtube as Kill This Love became the fastest Kpop music video to reach 500 million views.

According to Soompi, BLACKPINK's Kill This Love MV reached the landmark 500 million views last July 25 after it was originally posted on April 5, 2019. This means that the video was able to reach half a billion views in an unprecedented span of three months and 20 days.

BLACKPINK actually broke its own record for the fastest Kpop video to reach 500 million views since it was their MV for DDU DU DDU DU that previously held the honor. DDU DU DDU DU was able to achieve the same feat in five months and nine days.

It can be recalled that BLACKPINK also posted a new record for the first Kpop debut MV to reach 500 million views when Boombayah reached the milestone last week. Their MV for As If Its Your Last also surpassed 500 million views.

BLACKPINK's winning streak is not just limited to youtube because it was also announced by Spotify that BLACKPINK's collaboration with Dua Lipa , Kiss and Make Up was the most streamed song by a Kpop act on the music platform. Kiss and Make Up surpassed BTS' Fake Luv with 247 million streams as of June.

It comes as no surprise that BLACKPINK is also gaining popularity among international artists who want to collaborate with them. In a recent Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on Twitter, a fan asked Thank You, Next singer Ariana Grande if she would like to collaborate with Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rose for a song.

The pop star replied to the affirmative and even added that she would pass out if an opportunity to team up with BLACKPINK came, All Kpop reported. Ariana met the girls personally during their first time to perform at Coachella and struck a friendship with its members. When her perfume line Cloud came out, she even surprised Rose by gifting her with a bottle of her fragrance.

Ariana is currently nominated for MTV's Video Music Awards for multiple categories. BLACKPINK also picked up a nomination and was the only female Kpop act vying for the Best Kpop category with Kill This Love. Ari and BLACKPINK are also separately nominated for MTV UK's Hottest Summer Superstar poll where fans tweet their votes for their favorite artists until August 19. The winner will be announced by MTV UK on August 24.
