Naomi Watts recently graced Tonight Show, and host Jimmy Fallon tried to squeeze some Game of Thrones Prequel information from the actress. The 50-year-old star earlier said she is excited to be a part of the new spinoff series, but did Fallon manage to get some details from her?
"Can we talk about the Game of Thrones Prequel or not?" Fallon asked, per Winter is Coming. "Or we're not allowed to ask anything?"
As Fallon tried to raise the question, fans cheered and also wanted to know some tidbits from the spinoff. However, Watts only responded with a sweet smile, shook her head, and said, "No."
To avoid answering the question, she started to shout, "Tequila! Tequila! Tequila," which the show's band, The Roots, began to play. From here, Fallon and Watts danced boogie for a short while.
Fallon said the dance was Watts' way not to answer anything about Game of Thrones Prequel. Earlier, the King Kong star said she is thrilled to be a part of the spinoff that George R.R. Martin, the main brain behind the sow and the book series, executive produces.
Watts is one of the biggest names the series has and set to play one of the lead roles. She said her co-stars are a "great group of people," and they are all doing "a great job."
She even described Game of Thrones Prequel as "one of the most phenomenal thing" that has happened on television. "I'm super excited. That's all I can say," she added.
Indian Express noted the prequel's title remains to be a big mystery, although there are rumors it will be called The Long Night. Martin, on the other hand, also earlier revealed that it could be named The Longest Night, although nothing is confirmed yet.
Aside from Watts, Game of Thrones Prequel will also feature John Simm, Georgie Henley, and Marquis Rodriguez, among others. The show will chronicle the Golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour, the secrets of Westeros' history, and the origin of the White Walkers, the mysteries of the East, and the Starks of legend.
Although HBO president of programming Casey Bloys also said it would have referenced the original series, although it would not be a direct reference, it would tell a story nobody knows. Some fans contended Game of Thrones Prequel would feature the long night that happened in Westeros thousands of years ago when the world is under the spell of darkness and White Walkers that invaded the realm and killed almost everyone.
