Poldark season 5 will be the final installment of the Cornish period drama, and there were only six episodes left before viewers will finally see the ending of Aidan Turner's Ross and Eleanor Tomlinson's Demelza. To make it even more exciting, Turner dropped a major hint about the ending of these two characters.
Ross and Demelza's relationship isn't ordinary as they've been through a lot ever since the series has started. But while they struggled in the past season, their story also proved to be one of the most heart-wrenching. The two met in unconventional circumstances, but they fought against the odds despite the uncertainties.
Ross had a hard time moving on from his first love Elizabeth (Heida Reed), while Demelza's eyes and heart wandered in the third season, wherein Hugh Armitage (Josh Whitehouse) arrived on the scene. Good thing, Ross and Demelza found their way back to each other in season 4.
Now, two episodes of Poldark season 5 already aired, and the relationship of the two proved to be stronger than ever. Fans know there'll be a drama when the series ends, and this assumption further fuelled when Turner teased his final scenes with Tomlinson.
Speaking to several media outlets, the actor revealed that his favorite part of Ross' evolution was when he gets older, as he became more responsible and wiser. Turner said his character becomes a better listener, and he treats more with respect.
When asked about Ross and Delemza's ending, he said they're in a good place by the end of the series. However, he teased his character may die. Aidan shared it was poignant during their last day since was just him and Tomlinson doing some bedroom scenes. He said it was quite intimate and lovely at the same time, and it only makes sense it was just the two of them, that's why it was poignant.
Meanwhile, Tomlinson also talked about how Demelza could help Ross. She said there would still be a lot of turmoil, but these two grew stronger, and they're working as a team. Ross also realized the importance of honesty, but he'll never be tamed, and his relationship with Demelza will be tested throughout Poldark season 5.
Tomlinson then shared there will be a little bit of a showdown later in the series, and she'll be able to save Ross. That only means viewers will see her character being the hero and saving Ross, and this will be a good evolution for Demelza as it would show Aidan's character how lucky he is that he has her.
