Melania Trump turned heads again, this time in an emerald green dress she wore Friday evening, attending a youth concert at Washington D.C.'s Kennedy Center.
The First Lady has been known for her fashionable taste in clothes and impeccable sense of style. This was once more on display at the concert for the 2019 VSA International Young Soloists Competition. Melania was in attendance at the event's venue, the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts' Millennium Stage, where five artists showcased their talents with two performances each on stage.
The FLOTUS wore her choice of outfit paired with her go-to favorite shoe wear brand, Christian Louboutin. She picked a classic nude patent-leather pair of pointed high heels, "So Kate," that set off her dress, which had been cinched at the waist.
She tweeted about her "lovely evening" and acknowledged the "inspiring" young people who were at the event. The First Lady also gave a bow to the Kennedy Center, mentioning their efforts and "influential role" in the preservation of the arts.
She lauded as well the VSA International program in the way it has provided "important" as well as "life-changing opportunities" for young people with disabilities worldwide and promoting their inclusion from all art genre, in programs as the arts, education, and cultural enrichment.
The President of the Kennedy Center, Deborah Rutter, was present with the First Lady during the program. At its conclusion, Melania helped to give out the awards to each participant. She also said a few words thanking the "talented" musicians who had performed.
She went on to point out how music can be a "tool" and a means for "self-expression" by young people and how it can help them achieve great results not only in therapy but as an aid in communication.
The First Lady's own Be Best drive aims to support programs that help young people gain self-confidence as well as to make available to them the opportunities to pursue their dreams and passions.
After the concert, Mrs. Trump had gone on to an unplanned dinner stop with her husband, President Donald Trump, at the DC Trump International Hotel. Husband and wife spent a couple of hours at the BLT Prime Steakhouse, much to delight of some fans of theirs.
In a fan video uploaded on social media, a Melania admirer's voice could be heard in the background calling out, saying "thank you" and that they loved her. Another fan posted that the first couple had just emerged from the said hotel and that the President had "confirmed" the food served at the restaurant was "indeed good."
Still another fan of the couple posted that it was how they are, "wonderful, caring" Americans with a "true love" for the "country" as well as its "people."
