The world has a lot of wonderful and amazing places to visit. If you love to swim along with colorful fishes while enjoying a picturesque view, you are always welcome to visit Coron, Palawan in the Philippines. If you prefer a place with remarkable culture and great people, then include Barcelona, Spain in your itinerary. If you want to experience a simple but unique life, visit Iceland.
But if sightseeing is not your thing and you prefer to visit a place that will give you chills and excitement, then experience the trails of America's scariest hike. Reaching the top will take you a lot of efforts, huge of your time, and resources. But as you finish the 5-mile round trip trail, the view surely will make you realize everything was worth it.
Located in Utah, the western state of the US, the Angels Landing in Zion National Park is one of the places that travelers usually visit aside from Arches National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, and Salt Lake City. The 1,488-ft tall rock formation is considered one beautiful but dangerous masterpiece as it has already claimed the lives of 7 people since 2004, as reported by UNILAD Adventures in their Facebook video.
The trail that goes to the summit doesn't just feature an incredible view of the 270 million-year-old red and orange rock layers, but also a one-of-a-kind and risky edges, which are just a few feet away from the cliff. With a height of about 1000ft and narrowed paths as you reach the top, this trip is perfectly not for the faint-hearted but will satisfy a heart that longs for an exciting adventure.
For soft-hearted people or those who have a severe fear of the heights, the organizers behind the webpage of Utah says not to fret as there are still other things one can do in the park than just reaching the top. "People who have a severe fear of heights should not attempt the final stretch but can enjoy the trail to Scout Lookout," according to their post.
It's always okay to visit wonderful places such as this. But make sure you're not putting yourself at risk. If you have health concerns, especially if you have cardiovascular diseases, you might want to ask your doctor for advice on whether to pursue this trip or not. It's always better to be cautious than to be sorry in the end.
