Everyone is now preparing for the ending of their sophomore year in Grown-ish Season 2 Episode 21. As the show is set to have Season 3, the group's story will surely continue after the summer.

"As the gang's sophomore year ends, bottled up emotions start to unravel," "Dreams & Nightmares" official synopsis read. "It will cause rifts in friendships, relationships, and some interesting reconciliations."

The group is about to part ways as the summer once again arrives. Some of them will go to their homes, while others may start to adjust to a different life.

Summer vacations in high school are different compared to college. Young students still have the chance to see their friends around the area, while college students may already have a job, and priorities have changed.

Enter Grown-ish Season 2 Episode 21, their separation may lead to desperation. According to CarterMatt, although it may not be intentional, some of the characters are already figuring out their future.

Relationships will change, and secrets are set to come out. No matter what happens here, fans will continue to see Zoey (Yara Shahidi) and the rest of the gang in Grown-ish Season 3.

Freeform already renewed the show for a new season. Hence, fans will surely see the gang entering their junior year. There will also be new faces coming to the installment.

Ryan Destiny will be joining Grown-ish Season 3 after the cancellation of Lee Daniel's musical drama, Star, per Vibe. The show's official Twitter account shared the news earlier this month in preparation for the new season.

"Join us in welcoming @ryandestiny to the #grownish fam," the tweet read." "She is going to be on #grownish next season."

Destiny responded to the tweet, revealing her excitement to join the show. "Super exciteddd. Love this show! Hopefully, I fit in ok," she said.

Destiny will play the role of Jillian, a transfer student from an HBCU that will join the group's crazy college life. Fans will continue to see Zoey and her peers Aaron (Trevor Jackson), Luca (Luka Sabbat), Ana (Francia Raisa), Jazz and Sky (Chloe and Halle Bailey), Nomi (Emily Arlook), and Vivek (Jordan Buhat) as they enjoy their Cal U experience. Grown-ish Season 2 Episode 21, "Dreams & Nightmares," will be out on Wednesday, Aug. 7, on Freeform.
