British royal brothers Prince Harry and Prince William have allegedly made peace since their long-rumored feud. However, in a recent public outing, the Duke of Sussex may have just insulted his older brother, the second in line to the throne, by making one subtle comment about social responsibility.
During a discussion about the environment with primatologist Dr. Jane Goodall, Prince Harry said that he and his wife Meghan Markle are only aiming to have two children maximum. Royal fans, however, believe this statement was a stab at Prince William, who has three children with his wife Kate Middleton, and a rumored fourth baby on the way.
Prince Harry said that since becoming a father, he has become more conscious of the kind of future to leave to the children. While the duke didn't explicitly say that large families can be blamed for some of the issues of the world, he implied that he has realized he needed to do his part to reduce carbon footprint by having fewer kids.
Some royal followers think that Prince Harry subtlety threw an insult towards his brother's large family. However, others are also calling out the Duke of Sussex for being a hypocrite since he flies private jets and spends millions of dollars on home renovations that also deplete the earth's resources.
Royal watchers also think that Prince Harry remarks may not be a direct shade against Prince William, but it still shows the lack of unity and support between the sons of Princess Diana. Thus, some quarters still maintain the brothers' feud isn't over.
Meanwhile, for the month of August, the Sussex royals are focusing on "Forces of Change," which was the theme of the duchess' guest editing role for British Vogue. For their first post on Instagram following this theme, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan publicly honored Princess Diana.
"Words have the power to inspire, which is why we're happy to share some of our favorite quotes," the Sussex royals stated in their post. Along with it was a quote from Princess Diana, who encouraged the public to "carry out a random act of kindness with no expectations."
It's the first time that the Sussex royals have directly mentioned Princess Diana on their social media page. In previous posts, however, Prince Harry and Meghan have given nods to the Princess of Wales by posting a photo of their son on Mother's Day surrounded by her favorite flowers, forget-me-nots.
Prince Harry had a close bond with his late mom as a child, and he remains close to the Spencer side of the family. Princess Diana's sisters were prominently included in the baptism photo of his son Archie Harrison.
