The return of Luke Skywalker is undoubtedly one of the things that people are looking forward to in Star Wars Episode 9. Although the Jedi Master met his unfortunate end in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, it has been confirmed that Mark Hamill will reprise his iconic role in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. But who will share the scene with Luke in the highly anticipated film? A new leak reveals that one of Luke's scenes will involve a mysterious new character.
People are probably already expecting Luke Skywalker to return as a Force ghost who will continue to guide Rey as she trains to fully control her powers. Some also believe that Luke will appear to Kylo Ren to dissuade his former student from embracing the Dark Side. On the other hand, a new leak from Star Wars Episode 9 confirms that Luke has a notable scene that will also feature a character that will be introduced in The Rise of Skywalker. Interestingly, this new character has already been teased about being somehow connected to Rey.
The leak comes from the Making Star Wars podcast where it was reported that Luke Skywalker would share a scene with Zorri Bliss, who is played by Keri Russell. Their scene was reportedly filmed back in August 2018 although details were not revealed. Nevertheless, fans already began speculating about what the scene will be about. Not surprisingly, there are speculations that Zorri might be a Force user.
It is believed that only the Force-sensitive can see the Force ghosts. If Luke Skywalker is indeed a Force ghost in Star Wars Episode 9, then this could mean that Zorri Bliss is Force-sensitive and might have connections to the Jedi Master. Some believe that Keri Russell might be playing one of Luke's former students. Additionally, there are speculations that Zorri might be Luke's long-lost daughter with Expanded Universe character Mara Jade.
Of course, these are not the only possibilities for the scene between Luke Skywalker and Zorri Bliss. If both characters appear in a flashback, it could confirm that Zorri is someone from Luke's past. Was Luke the one who sent Rey away to Jakku in the first place? And was Zorri the person who brought the young girl to the desert planet?
