Miley Cyrus broke her silence a day after the news about her split with now-ex-husband Liam Hemsworth hit the headlines. The controversial star shared her first post on Instagram, addressing change and moving on. But, what's the reason behind the breakup?

By the looks of it, Cyrus is now embracing change after breaking up with Hemsworth. In a lengthy post, the 26-year-old star talked about evolution, change, peace, and hope.

"Don't fight evolution, because you will never win," she captioned her photo while standing on a mountain. "Like the mountain, I am standing on top of, which was once underwater, connected with Africa, change is inevitable."

Cyrus even quoted her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, saying, "nature never hurries, but it is always on time." She said it fills her heart, knowing what his dad said is true. As she knows how to respect the planet and its process, she is going to do the same thing with her life.

The "Mother's Daughter" hitmaker posted more photos with a caption, "New day. New adventure," which seemed to be about her breakup with Hemsworth. She also said, "life's a climb," but with a great view.

So, what was the reason behind Cyrus and Hemsworth's split? There are rumors something is going on between Cyrus and Brody Jenner's ex-wife Kaitlynn Carter. The two were even spotted kissing each other before the former couple's breakup was confirmed.

Cyrus seemed to be cuddling and kissing Carter while they were in Italy. However, a source told People the two were only having fun together, and they were with some mutual friends at the time.

Earlier, Cyrus told Elle she was not a stereotypical wife. She didn't even see herself fit in the role. It might be confusing for some that she was married, but she cleared she had a unique relationship.

However, the life she had with Hemsworth was something she wanted to keep private. She described their romance as something complex, modern, and new that she didn't think people would understand. Although she was in a hetero relationship, she admitted she is still "very sexually attracted to women."

On the other hand, Hemsworth has been spending time with his family in Australia. Cyrus and Hemsworth were already photographed without their wedding bands.

A rep for Cyrus confirmed that the couple has agreed to separate this time after eight months of marriage. They tied the knot on December 2018. The two decided it was the best for both of them as they focused on themselves and their respective careers.
