Thanks to its mixed themes that are applicable for both kids and adults, the show has been truly successful over the years. Unfortunately, no information has been given yet about the new season. Many are concluding that the show is already done for good due to the finale that the previous season offered to its viewers.
According to Screen Rant, Steven Universe Season 5 ended with a satisfying plot that can serve as the ultimate finale of the show. As per the reports of the interview, Rebecca Sugar confirmed that the fifth season finale, Change Your Mind, is truly the "culmination" of the show. But it only served as the conclusion of the story that started way back in its pilot season. Also, she mentioned that the franchise will still move forward, but this time, it will be in a "different form."
As for what kind of form it is, it is yet to be revealed. Many assumed that it might be the upcoming movie, Steven Universe: The Movie, which will premiere in the fall of 2019. It is a huge possibility. But even so, it is also plausible that, if ever Steven Universe will still return for a new season, it will offer a new kind of premise and plot.
