One of Discovery Channel's impressive television series is the thrilling Gold Rush that has been on the air for almost a decade now. And with its ninth season conclusion last March, along with the conclusion of Parker's Trail "Papua New Guinea" on June, fans cannot help but wonder when the new season will arrive on the network.
Unfortunately, Discovery Channel has yet to confirm its renewal or cancellation decisions over the reality television program. As per Renew Cancel TV, the decision is still a "pending" case for Gold Rush Season 10.
But while no word has heard yet from the network, many fans are quite positive that a new season will happen anytime soon. And if that is true, then it is highly likely for the tenth season to arrive in October.
As the records show, every season of Gold Rush premieres in October in the last eight years with the exception of its pilot run that aired on a December. Hence, it only makes sense if the new season would arrive in the same month following the pattern in its schedule.
It is also worth noting that there are already a few hints and tells on social media platforms what could happen in the next season of Gold Rush if ever it gets green light from Discovery Channel.
A few months ago, Rick Ness and Freddy Dodge were seen together in Canada as per TV Showcase. Although there are no confirmations as to what businesses they have to attend in the said region, the majority of the fans are positive that the two is scouting out a new mining territory.
But while this has become a huge hint, there are still people who want a clear renewal confirmation from the network before making assumptions. This is because it is no longer a secret that Rick Ness is planning to run in the upcoming 2020 Presidential election. And if it goes as planned, then it is a huge possibility that they were in Canada a few months ago due to this very reason.
The truth is - all of these things are only based on the fans' reception towards the current events involving the Gold Rush miners. And with the scarcity of information about the show's future, it is no wonder why the fandom has been struggling to find the needle in a haystack.
Even so, these are all great assumptions which are all plausible. But without further confirmation, it seemingly appears that the fans will continue to speculate until the new season finally arrives.
