Netflix has yet to order Imposters Season 3 following Bravo's cancellation after two seasons. Fans remain hopeful about the renewal after the show becomes the most-binge watch series on the streaming platform.
The show has a dark-comedy theme and said to be a complete package for featuring a lot of laughs, gasps, and guesses. However, Bravo canceled the show after two seasons.
So, will there be a chance for Imposters Season 3? It has been more than a year since the show ended, but fans are still hopeful for the show's continuation. But since Netflix picked up the first two seasons for streaming, there are hopes it will renew the show to continue Maddie's (Inbar Lavi) story, per TV Season Spoilers.
The show follows Maddie, a con artist who has relationships with both men and women. However, she only uses these people and robs them. Season 1 became a big hit because of its unique plot and Maddie's way to lure everyone to get what she wanted. But after Season 2's release, Bravo canceled the show in June 2018.
Netflix gives hopes to fans after it once again reviving its popularity. Hence, there are speculations there will be Imposters Season 3.
In an interview with TVLine, Adam Brooks revealed there is a "very fun potential wrinkle" in anything that could have happened in Imposters Season 3. "Paul's [Adelstein] always said, they're a little bit sort of magic," co-creator Adam Brooks said. "They're like from another universe a bit, and whenever they land on Imposters planet, it wakes and shakes the whole thing up in a great way."
Unfortunately, What's on Netflix noted there might be no new season on Netflix as the show is with Bravo. So, its future lies in the network.
The cancellation is said to be a part of the network's changing strategy as it seems to be focusing more on its non-scripted reality shows this year. The poor ratings are also among the cited reasons why the series got canceled.
Bravo also holds the show Dirty John, which is quite similar to the Imposters. Just like Lavi's series, this show is also close to Netflix as it is exclusively distributed by the web streaming service internationally. It is also expected to be out in the US later this year.
Netflix has been known for saving canceled series, just like Lucifer. As it made the show available again for the audience and it is doing good on the platform, it might not be that far that fans would get Imposters Season 3.
