Over the past few weeks, Neymar has been the subject of numerous rumors claiming that he is on his way out of his current club, Paris Saint-Germain. Almost immediately after the rumors circulated, Neymar's previous team, FC Barcelona, was reportedly working on a bid to re-acquire the talents of the Brazilian international player.

With Neymar still signed with PSG, Barcelona is working for a loan offer for the Brazilian star for this season. Reports claim that Barcelona will offer Neymar an option for a permanent position by 2020.

A recent report from ESPN FC stated, "Sources close to the Catalan club have explained that no players are likely to be included in the offer, while discussions are ongoing as to how much they will suggest for the price of a transfer in 2020."

Reports claim that Barcelona is looking to throw Philippe Coutinho into the deal in order to convince PSG to sign it. There is a conflicting story to this report though as German club Bayern Munich has confirmed that Coutinho is already on its way to Germany for a season-long loan deal.

A number of analysts have noted that following Countinho's stint at Camp Nou did not exactly go as planned. The midfielder was acquired by Barcelona back in January 2018 and he just never fitted into the team's overall mechanics.

Neymar has fallen out of favor from PSG fans in the past couple of months. The lack of major titles has led many fans to be disenchanted with the Brazilian star. The disconnect from fans is not exactly lost to Neymar, hence his eagerness to leave his current club. Neymar was transferred from Barcelona to PSG in 2017.

Reports have also claimed that Barcelona star and Neymar's former teammate Lionel Messi have already contacted the Brazilian star in an effort to convince him to re-join his former squad. While the possible transfer is not exactly impossible to pull off. However, Barcelona needs to pull the right string and put together an attractive package in order to convince PSG to do at least a loan deal. If analysts are to be believed, Barcelona should be able to complete at least the loan deal. Whether the club is eligible to give Neymar a contract, next season remains to be seen.

Another interesting aspect of this news is a rumor claiming that Barcelona rival Real Madrid is also interested in Neymar. However, Neymar's former manager Marcelo Teixeira confirmed that he blocked the deal.
