Is Georgia Goodwin dead in New Amsterdam season 2? Actress Lisa O'Hare just confirmed that she is not filming the series.

She's in London for the rehearsals of her upcoming stage play The Height of the Storm, which is supposed to run from Sept. 24 to Nov. 17, 2019. She posted a photo on Instagram to say that she's on the other side of the pond while the rest of the New Amsterdam season 2 cast is in the New York set.

Two weeks before her London work, O'Hare was enjoying desserts and wine her New Amsterdam co-stars Janet Montgomery (as Dr. Lauren Bloom) and Freema Agyeman (as Dr. Helen Sharpe). Could this be a going-away party since her character has potentially been killed off in New Amsterdam season 2?

Viewers will recall that several lives were in danger in the finale episode of New Amsterdam season 1 after that ambulance crash. Dr. Max Goodwin (played by Ryan Eggold), Lauren, Helen, Georgia and her baby Luna were all involved in this accident.

The cliff-hanger from the New Amsterdam season 1 finale hinted that one person would not survive the crash. It was also repeated in the newly-released promo for the second season with the following synopsis: "A sudden accident leaves Max and three of the most important women in his life in peril - and one will not survive."

Agyeman told TV Line that they didn't find out who was dying in New Amsterdam season 2 episode 1 until mid-July when production started. The actress said that there would be significant changes to the story in the second season.

So far, fans speculate that it would be impossible for Max and Helen to die since they are two of the show's most important characters. A post on Reddit indicated that Lauren is back at the hospital and wearing her scrubs in New Amsterdam season 2. So, this means that the character survived the accident. Thus, only Georgia and baby Luna's fate have not been determined until the post from O'Hare.

Meanwhile, New Amsterdam creator David Schulner said in an interview in the New York Post that the show's second season will have a jump forward. They will, however, revisit the crash to explain the character's death.

New Amsterdam season 2 will premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at 10:00 p.m. on NBC.
