Various reports have emerged claiming Barcelona are making "progress" in talks with Paris Saint-Germain. The Spanish club is still hopeful of signing Neymar again this summer, although no official offer has been made for the Brazilian.

Neymar's transfer has been the talk of transfer updates lately, and the latest of which claims that Barca have increased their informal offer for Neymar. The 27-year-old is reportedly keen on leaving PSG for good, and he is said to be only interested in returning to Camp Nou. However, Real Madrid is more likely to sign him first.

Barca and PSG are reportedly still in talks, with Sky Sports claiming that the Spanish side are making "progress" albeit making no official offers yet. The summer transfer window is about to end, and yet there is still no clear path for Neymar.

Meanwhile, Spanish publication Sport says that there have been no agreements yet, and that Paris Saint-Germain are starting to lower their asking price.

Paris Saint-Germain have been wanting to recoup as much as they can after spending €222 million on Neymar, but according to reports, the Ligue 1 champions have softened their price. It is believed that the fee has been lowered down to €170-180, with the most likely way for Barcelona to re-sign Neymar being a season-long loan which includes an obligation to buy the Brazil international in 2020.

Barcelona CEO Oscar Grau has been in Paris to talk with PAG general manager Jean Claude Blanc, personally, as well as sporting director Leonardo. This week, negotiations are said to continue as PSG still looks to offload Neymar before the Sept. 2 deadline of the transfer window.

The Spanish team have allowed Philippe Coutinho to leave for Bayern Munich on loan with a view to a permanent transfer, and the full-time exit of Neymar's compatriot would open the door for a dramatic return for the PSG talisman.

Barca have continued to dominate in La Liga, but Neymar would be expected to help Ernesto Valverde take the club back to the top of European competition.

As of writing, there has been nothing concrete in terms of Neymar's next destination. It seems that things are going well for Barca with PSG lowering their price, but we are still to wait for Real Madrid as well.
