DeMarcus Cousins of the Los Angeles Lakers saw more frustrations coming his way following reports that he threatened his former girlfriend for disallowing their son to attend his wedding. Boogie recently tied the knot with his long-time girl, Morgan Lang, and apparently wanted his son to be in attendance.

Unfortunately in an audio of the conversation obtained by TMZ Sports, Christy West alleges that it was Cousins threatening her for not allowing their son to attend the wedding. The conversation is transcribed below.

"I'm gonna ask you this one more time before I take it to another level," the man says ... "Can I have my son here, please?"

The threat by the man comes in after West turned down the request.

"I'm gonna make sure I put a bullet in your f**king head."

Further, West claims that the 29-year-old also threatened to kill her without getting his hands dirty. In the past, it appears that the two had clashes - including an alleged choking incident.

Cousins' former girl is looking to get a restraining order for her safety. However, she made it clear that she is not totally banning Cousins from seeing their son. This is for as long as those are supervised visits.

The incident is a sad aftermath considering Cousins seemed pretty happy marrying Lang. There were several NBA stars in attendance such as Draymond Green, Anthony Davis and Matt Barnes. Despite an ACL injury, the four-time All-Star managed to have his first dance with his wife - although he was noticeably careful.

The latest on this issue is that the NBA will be conducting its own investigation on the case.

"We are aware of the report regarding DeMarcus Cousins and are investigating the allegations," NBA spokesman Mike Bass said in a statement.

The whole thing comes at a time where Cousins has been dealing with setbacks. He was looking to make an impression when he joined the Lakers, reuniting with Davis in what seemed like a pretty formidable frontline. Together with LeBron James, Cousins had high chances of winning an NBA title after his stint with the Golden State Warriors last season failed to produce one.

Cousins has been dealing with injuries for the past seasons and frustration is unsurprisingly growing. His future is murky although several stars like Steve Nash are telling him not to give up. At 29, the 5th overall pick can undoubtedly rise from the ashes. Unfortunately, he will have to face off-court issues as well in doing that.
