Some crazy things will continue to happen in Manifest season 2. The NBC drama recently released its trailer to tease what viewers may expect and it looks like some of them are back on the plane.

The Manifest season 2 teaser posted on social media this week shows that Ben (played by Josh Dallas), Michaela (played by Melissa Roxburgh), and Cal (played by Jack Messina) are back inside Flight 828. As for how this happened and why it's happening again, that's exactly what Michaela wants to know as she shouts in the clip, "Why are we back in the plane?!"

When Manifest season 1 ended, Michaela's apartment was the site of the scuffle between Zeke (played by Matt Long) and Jared (played by J.R. Ramirez). A gun went off right before the end and executive producer Jeff Rake told viewers that there will be answers to whoever was shot in Manifest season 2's premiere episode.

But this new teaser opens another round of questions. Was it Michaela who was shot and now she's back in the plane to relieve everything? Is this how she's going to save all of the passengers of the beleaguered flight?

Meanwhile, Manifest season 2 continues to expand its cast with the addition of Yara Jackson. According to TV Guide, the actress will play a recurring character named Suzanne who used to be Ben's girlfriend.

Suzanne will encounter Ben at Astoria University just as his marriage to Grace (played by Athena Karkanis) is going through some tough times. She will likely be dragged into this mess with Flight 828 as well.

Aside from Jackson, Ellen Tamaki and Andrene Ward-Hammond has also been added to Manifest season 2. They will play Detective Drea Mikami and Captain Kate Bowers respectively. They will be working with Michaela at the precinct.

Garrett Wareing, on the other hand, was cast to play TJ Morrison, another Flight 828 passenger. He will become good friends with Ben in Manifest season 2.

NBC is pushing the premiere date of Manifest season 2 in the spring of 2020.  This doesn't mean, however, that the show is in danger of being canceled with the change in schedule. As the number one new scripted show last fall, NBC seems confident that the series will hold its own as a midseason replacement. The upcoming installment will have 13 episodes.
