Defensive end Jadeveon Clowney might continue to hold out his contract situation with his present club Houston Texas, while he waits for a deal he desires. This means he could also miss regular-season games because, at the present, five teams are making their interest in a deal known.

According to the NFL, Clowney is willing to take the risk and miss games, if it means ultimately getting the deal he wants. It can be remembered that back in March, the Teas placed a franchise tag on the player for $15,967 million. The deadline to reach this deal has long expired. Even though a trade could still take place, Clowney should first sign the franchise tender before anything can happen, which he is not willing to make.

The former No.1 pick reportedly had a chat with Miami Dolphins about a possibly attractive deal early this week. In addition, both the Philadelphia Eagles and Seattle Seahawks are also interested in getting Clowney if his club puts him into the trade block. Texans also allegedly received some offers from the Washington Redskins and the New York Jets, as reported by the Houston Chronicle.

According to Niners Nation, this scenario can very well play out given all these are clamoring for him. If the Seattle Seahawks were to swoop in and put Clowney into the NFC West, he'd be playing the San Francisco 40ers twice in a year. This can be a problem for Jimmy Garoppolo.

Seattle reportedly has the cash to do this though. According to Tankathon, they have a first, two seconds, as well as a third for the first three rounds. Clowney may even call for a second-round pick at least but still might cost higher since he is young.

Some think he should be traded to the Eagles. According to House of Houston, this will benefit Houston Texas the most. Eagles are reportedly composed of a ton of talent that Texas badly need to fill up right now, at left tackle. Even if Roderick Johnson and Matt Kalil are considered favorites to play this position for this season, a trade with the Eagles can enable the team to make an upgrade at that position relatively quickly.

Lane Johnson can be a good exchange. He would be a dream for Texas to snatch up, regardless if he is a right tackle. The player is presently on a five-year, $56.3 million deal that gives him $805k base salary for this season. Next year, his take-home will be at, $6.2M and on 2021, at $8.3 M. Despite the massive amounts, they are fairly considered to what Texas will be paying Clowney in the long run if not traded off.
