As if to remind their fans why they stan Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo and Rose, BLACKPINK has released a fitting reminder of their amazing performance skills with the release of BLACKPINK 2018 Tour In Your Area Seoul album.
The release of the 14-track album came on August 30 and featured BLACKPINK's best performances from last year's two-night performance at Seoul's Olympic Gymnastics Arena to kick off their first world tour.
According to Billboard, BLACKPINK's compilation album features remixes of their best hits DDU DU DDU DU, Stay and Whistle. The album also highlights Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rose as they perform for their solo segments in the concert. The album also contains the reggae mix of Really, Solo, You & I, Only Look at Me, Forever Young and See You Later.
BLINKs will find a need to brush up on their BLACKPINK as the girls prepare for a very special one day Private Stage with their fans at the Seoul Olympic Hall on September 21.
According to YG Entertainment, the special event will have BLACKPINK perform for two stages in a single day. The first performance will be at 1 pm while the second stage will happen at 6 pm. It is believed that the members chose this method to show their appreciation for their fans for supporting them throughout their year-long world tour.
The Seoul Olympic Hall has the capacity of 15,000 fans per performance compared to the bigger stages that BLACKPINK has performed for, which gives BLINKs a more personal feeling with their idols.
Meanwhile, there is a lot of speculation about when BLACKPINK will release their comeback after other girl groups have announced their schedules for the upcoming months. It is expected that groups like TWICE and Red Velvet will be making their second comebacks for the year, making fans excited about BLACKPINK's new music as well.
It has earlier been confirmed that Ariana Grande's producer, Tommy Brown was recently in Korea to work with Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rose on new music which could be targeted towards an international audience. Brown has worked on Ariana's award-winning hits like Thank You, Next, and 7 Rings, Soompi reported.
The producer enjoyed working with BLACKPINK so much that he even posted a snap on Instagram, claiming that he was the newest member. Upon seeing the post, Ariana Grande, who is currently on her Sweetener World Tour, asked to be included in the photo via Photoshop.
