A lot is about to happen in the upcoming Monday installment of Bachelor in Paradise. ABC has dropped the new episode's trailer, and it teased the tension between Derek Peth and John Paul Jones. Someone is also set to say goodbye, and there are theories it can be Clay Harbour.

Derek and John Paul rival over Tayshia in the new season of the elimination-style reality competition series. After calling out Derek, it looks like he has no plans to obey what John asked of him.

In the special preview of the upcoming episode, via Entertainment Weekly, Derek will try to smooth things out with John. However, Derek's initiative will be refused. "I really don't want to, dude, to be honest. I really don't want to," John told Derek.

John thinks Derek manipulates Tayshia to drum up the drama for the sake of his podcast and he doesn't like what he is doing. As Derek is known for being an all-around good guy, will he manage to reconcile with John in Bachelor in Paradise Episode 9?

Meanwhile, Refinery29 noted there might be another major plot twist coming in the new episode. Someone might unexpectedly leave paradise. After Dean Unglert sent himself home, John confronted Derek, and Clary faced his ex, Angela Amezcua, who was likely to exit this time?

There are rumors Clay may leave Bachelor in Paradise Episode 9. Clay had a rough week after he was forced to reunite with Angela for the first time since their split, which was not an easy one.

Clay seems to be okay with Nicole this time, and Angela's arrival will inevitably cause tension between the two. Hence, there are theories Clay will also send himself home than to deal with his ex. As they have a rough breakup, it may be hard for the NFL player to see her every time that will affect his emotions, given that he is a classy guy.

After Clay sidestepped all the "agro alpha male nonsense," which got Jordan and Christian threw off the show a few weeks back, he might do the same to avoid all the drama that Angela and Nicole might bring. Bachelor in Paradise Episode 9 is set to be out on Monday, Sept. 2, at 8 p.m. on ABC. It will be followed by another episode on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
