Dark Season 3 is now in the works and there will be new additions coming to the series. As the show is known for its time-travelling concept, there are now swirling theories what roles these new stars will be playing.

Fans have been praising the show for its incredible attention to details - especially its casting since its featuring three generations of four families in different time periods. In fact, Creator Jantje Friese is giving all the credits to its casting director Simone Bär for getting all things right.

Barbara Nüsse, Hans Diehl, Jakob Diehl, Nina Kronjäger, Sammy Scheuritzel, and Axel Werner are announced to be joining the new season in unknown roles yet. However, Meaww noted fans already made their predictions on what characters they could be possibly playing.

Kronjäger may play the role of a middle-aged Martha in Dark Season 3. However, it is only possible if she will play the character in the parallel world after Martha's death at the end of the previous season.

There are also theories Nüsse may play as Elisabeth Doppler. It looks like the 76-year-old star is the perfect choice to play an older Elisabeth, played by the 45-year-old Sandra Borgmann, knowing the middle-aged Elisabeth is still alive.

There is also a possibility the new stars will play new roles come the new season. However, with the show's concept, they may give life to the older version of known characters.

Meanwhile, there are also theories surrounding Bartosz (Paul Lux). A Reddit fan believes Bartosz is Tronte Nielsen's father. If Bartosz happens to be the man in the cave that Noah (Max Schimmelpfennig) killed in Season 2 Episode 1, "everything will make a perfect sense."

"Agnes said her husband wasn't alive anymore, and that he was a priest but not a man of faith," the Redditor claimed. Although a young Noah and a man have yet to be identified in the series, there are speculations he is similar to Bartosz that Lux played. The two have been seen digging a cave with the Sic Mundus Creatus Est symbol on a door.

While having a little discussion about 1953-1921 Noah's (Mark Waschke) real intention for hiring him, the young Noah killed the guy. The Redditor claimed Bartosz has the same tattoo as the adult Noah, which might mean that he also worked as a priest. He even challenged his belief in God before killing him. Everything remains to be a big mystery until Dark Season 3 comes out, possibly, in 2020 on Netflix.
