The drama continues to ramp up in Bachelor in Paradise Season 6. No one expected Derek Peth to leave the show after his altercation with John Paul Jones. As no one took his side, not even Tayshia, which he expected, he just left the island crying. Now, there are rumors he could be the next Bachelor.

According to Reality Steve, Derek decided to leave the reality show because of his fight with JPJ over Tayshia. Tayshia chose to take JPJ's side during their argumentation; thus, Derek ended up crying and leaving the series.

He even left before the rose ceremony happened. So as he was not around at the time, Tayshia gave the rose to JPJ.

JPJ confronted Derek about his real intentions to Tayshia and his reputation among the Bachelor Nation alums during Kystral and Chris' wedding. Everyone's attention was more focused on the two's confrontation instead on the big day. Hence, Tayshia started to cry with the unwanted stares they got.

JPJ started the fight, but Tayshia chose to take his side over Derek. However, it might not come as a surprise after Tayshia told Derek to try to meet other women. Also, two new men are said to be coming to Bachelor in Paradise Season 6. These two would interest Tayshia that might add up to Derek's frustration; thus, he decided to leave.

CinemaBlend added Derek had a rough time in this year's season after getting dumped by Demi Burnett, confronted by JPJ, and not chosen by Tayshia. However, it couldn't be denied that he is one of the most popular guys in the Bachelor Nation now. There is even a call that he can be the next 2020 Bachelor.

He might also have found his real partner off the show with his bromance with Wells Adams. Derek made a name when he joined Bachelorette Season 12 with JoJo Fletcher in 2016, along with Wells. They used to be roommates, and their friendship went beyond the show.

Wells even joined Derek on his The Bachelor podcast with Kay Brown, titled JPJ Hates our Podcast. Derek went through the JPJ fight from his perspective, while Wells talked about their original Bachelorette season together and how they became close friends in real life. He even shared a Derek appreciation video with a campaign for him to be the next Bachelor. Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 airs every Monday and Tuesday on ABC.
