Greenleaf Season 4 has finally arrived. After waiting for months, the new season is finally here. While the fans thought that the first parts would be a fair battle between the Greenleafs and the Harmony & Hope Ministries, or Bob Whitmore, it did not go well as everyone thought it would be.
The first episode of Greenleaf's new season titled, Original Sin, premiered with Bob Whitmore taking over the Calvary. On the first Sunday after their installation, Bob charges Grace as the head pastor but asks her to shorten the sermon.
While the move may not be as harmful as the other plans, this only proved that Bob is making the whole scenario a lot more personal. And taking it out on Grace's sermon already tells a lot. This is why Lady Mae did not back down after learning what Bob did.
Even so, Grace still backed down, and instead, she asked him if he could allow Jacob and Charity to have positions at the Calvary. She threatened him though that she would leave if he would not do this.
Bob, quite obviously, did not take the bait. He revealed to her that he has been watching Grace for quite some time now. He also told her about her career movements, and putting her family first is a huge mistake. Still, he gave Jacob the position of the Associate Pastor.
Upon learning Jacob's new position, this made Charity mad since Grace told her that she did not get what she's asking for in behalf of her. She got even angrier afterward and told the family that she'd bring "dignity" to the Calvary.
As Charity left, she accepted Phil's proposal to her. And, certainly, this will be further elaborated on the next episode of Greenleaf Season 4.
While the whole family is in the middle of the huge drama, Noah later on called Grace telling her that someone called him all locked up. And based on his statement, he told Grace that this person has told him that he's their child.
This is yet another big problem for Grace. And noting how everything's turning far south, this might just be the "original sin" that the title is talking about.
While it's not yet clear how this plot will play out, the succeeding episodes will unveil it all out.
Greenleaf Season 4 will return next week for its second episode titled, Did I Lose You?, on September 10, on Oprah Winfrey Network.
