The Dodge Challenger had been added with two new models for the 2019 model year: the SRT Hellcat and the R/T Scat Pack Widebody. If you believe that's all the changes to Dodge cars, think again. While there are no changes to the 2020 Dodge Journey model lineup, things should look different for the Dodge Challenger and Challenger SRT: the 2020 model year has been given a slew of cool updates.
Let's discuss the visual changes first: the GT RWD now has optional Lights Out wheels, available Satin Carbon Wheels, and 20-inch Satin Carbon wheels as its standard. Meanwhile, the GT AWD and SXT AWD models now have Satin Carbon wheels at 19 inches as standard with available Black Noise wheels, which are also part of the Blacktop Package.
The R/T Scat Pack now features Low Gloss Granite wheels at 20 inches, while the Widebody version has Low Gloss Black wheels, but at 20- x 11-inch. The R/T models come with standard 20-inch Satin Carbon wheels, available Lights Out wheels, and polished Tinted Clear wheels.
20-inch Machined wheels with Granite pockets can be fitted on the SRT Hellcat and SRT Hellcat Redeye models, while the SRT Hellcat Widebody and Hellcat Redeye Widebody models mow include with 20- x 11-inch Low Gloss Black wheels and optional Low Gloss Granite "Warpspeed" wheels as standard.
There are three new paint jobs added to the 2020 Dodger: Sinamon Stick, Hellraisin, and Frostbite. The R/T Scat Pack now has a Scat Pack Bee spoiler badge, and all the R/T models now have new HEMI fender badges.
As for the leather interior, expect to see its upper door panels premium-stitched to perfection, and buyers are given an option to avail carbon-fiber bezels that comes with Dynamica suede headliner made available on all V8 models.
If you get the Challenger R/T Scat Pack, R/T, and GT models, you can change the color of the interior to Caramel Alcantara.
There have been no changes to the engine, meaning that the GT, GT AWD, SXT, and SXT AWD models still get the 305 horsepower-capable 3.6-liter Pentastar V6.
The SRT Hellcat models have the 6.2-liter HEMI V8 with up to 717 horsepower, but if you go with the Redeye, hp will be increased to 797. R/T models use the 375 horsepower-capable 5.7-liter HEMI V8, while the Scat Pack and its widebody options produce 485 hp in its 392 HEMI V8 engine.
