YG Entertainment has been a subject of great scrutiny these days after fans called them out for their unfair treatment of BLACKPINK members. This time around, BLINKs have taken to social media to protest the agency's preferential treatment for Jennie compared to other members.

It can be recalled that a recent post by BLACKPINK's Rose raised the hackles of BLINKs after it was thought that the quote was about the mistreatment she was experiencing under YG's management. Fans trended the hashtag #StarStrongRose and called attention to other members' multiple solo activities with Rose's calendar remaining vacant, All KPop reported.

Fans hit YG for booking Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa for multiple fashion collaborations, magazine shoots, acting gigs, and solo endorsements while Rose seemed like the agency was shelving her in terms of solo engagements. Her father even liked a post by one of the fans complaining about mistreatment.

However, Rose recently took to Livestream to clarify the reason why she has not been very visible lately. As it turned out, she was busy preparing for her solo debut, which YG promised in 2018. According to the BLACKPINK member, she was setting such a high standard for herself because she wanted to deliver perfection to the fans who are supporting her. She also apologized to those who thought that she has not been in contact through her socials.

Rose may have addressed the issue of mistreatment, but fans who recently saw a video of BLACKPINK's recent stage costumes were shocked by YG Entertainment's preferential treatment of Jennie. In the video, seemingly taken from BLACKPINK's performance at the a-nation music festival in Japan, Jennie was sporting a skin-tight green dress that highlighted her figure.

While the outfit looked great on Jennie, fans complained that Jisoo, Lisa and Rose had to wear outfits that were of a similar shade as the backup dancers which made it look like Jennie was the star and the rest of the performers were her supporting team, Koreaboo reported.

This was not the first time fans raised their concern about the fashion styles of BLACKPINK that seemed to favor Jennie Kim. In their recent teaser image for their Japanese album, fans also noticed that Jennie's outfit was a different style than the rest of the girls. There were those who defended the outfit and said that since Jennie was shorter than the other members, the outfit needed to make her look taller.

Rose previously addressed concerns about the clothing assignments for BLACKPINK members.

"I think it's because Jennie's the fashionista of our group, right? She has to lead us with her style so that all of BLACKPINK looks cool. So they need to put more effort into it," she said.
