After almost nine months of waiting, The Conners Season 2 is finally arriving. And this time, the fans will get to enjoy the show much longer as the new season is granted with additional episodes.

During its pilot run, The Conners housed a total of 11 episodes. But when the renewal came in, 13 episodes have been commissioned by ABC.

This announcement caused many fans to rejoice. And so much more when an update stating that six more episodes will be added to the new season. Accordingly, the upcoming season will have a total of 19 episodes.

According to Pop Culture, this is a huge milestone for the show. Despite being a spin-off to Roseanne, it became one of the network's most promising sitcom materials. It even superseded its parent series when it comes to performance and records. Hence, there is no doubt as to why it received a new season renewal.

The post-production is already done. And in less than four weeks, The Conners Season 2 will finally premiere after ending the pilot run last January.

In terms of its plot, the upcoming installment will continue the events that happened on the previous finale. So, Emilio won't be around when Becky gives birth since he was deported.

In an interview with TV Line, the showrunner, Bruce Helford, revealed that Emilio would remain "MIA." And this will largely impact Becky, and her pregnancy since the first episode is uncovered to feature the birth of their baby.

It has been long stressed out that Becky is quite terrified of becoming a mother. Aside from the fact that she is not ready yet, she is also worried about her capabilities. And based on the recently released trailer, it looks like things will be so much more difficult for her and her baby.

As it appears, she will give birth ahead of her due date. And this will "trigger" her guilt as per the showrunner. This is because of her alcoholic drinks and liquor nights the time she didn't know yet that she's pregnant. So, there's that huge complication.

And without Emilio to support her during the most difficult period of her life, it will further increase the tension and emotion, especially on Becky's side.

All of these will be further unveiled once The Conners Season 2 premieres. The first episode is titled, Preemies, Weed, and Infidelity, and it will air on September 24, on ABC.
