In June 2018, Richard Armitage, who voices Trevor Belmont, revealed they started voicing the third season, which means that they're likely done recording by now. As for who's returning in Castlevania season 3, Armitage will surely reprise his role as Trevor, alongside Graham McTavish (voices Dracula Vlad Tepes). Currently, there were only a few details about the plot of Castlevania Season 3. But, the season 2 finale featured the seeming death of Dracula at the hands of his son Alucard. The ending hinted Dracula might be gone for good, though there's still a possibility he'll come undead in the third installment.
But if ever Dracula might not be coming back in the new season, fans speculated the animated series would introduce a new villain. Castlevania Season 3 might feature Carmilla as the new big bad, and Jaime Murray will be voicing the character.
Meanwhile, Trevor and Sypha left Alucard, and they went on an adventure together. Since the latter is now an orphaned dhampir, he needs to deal with the fact that he killed his father. But, aside from all of these, Castlevania Season 3 will reportedly explore a new status quo.

However, Castlevania executive producer Adi Shankar will reportedly develop the animated-series adaptation of Capcom's popular video game franchise.
