Archer season 11 is officially happening on FFX, as executive producer Matt Thompson confirmed the renewal announcement at the SDCC 2019. The previous season wrapped up in July 2018. However, avid fans of the hit adult animated spy series want to find out what will happen next to the titular character.

While the new season has been confirmed, the official release date of Archer season 11 remains unknown right now. But, Screenrant reported the latest installment would possibly premiere in 2020. Each season also premiered between March and May since season 7. So, the arrival of the new season will most likely fall around these months as well.

The production for Archer season 11 hasn't likely started yet. Hence, details about it are scarce for now. But, then, the season 10 finale hinted the possible plot and storyline of the new installment. The new season will perhaps go back to normal since Archer is fully awake from his coma after three years.

That only means there wouldn't be any time jumps this season, and the plot will continue where season 7 left off. In Archer season 11, the characters will also possibly be back on their usual selves. In the previous three seasons, the familiar characters were still around. However, they played different roles since everything was happening inside Archer's head.

This time, the setting will be earthbound, which is unlike the space-based narrative in season 10. After waking up from the coma, Archer found out his mother moved into his hospital room and waiting for him to wake up the entire time. However, his mother doesn't share many details about what happened to the people in his life since then.

Even though Archer is back on the regular time, the animated series is still expected to be far from being boring. The producers also promised Archer season 11 will see the titular character getting back to his detective work. Also, the new season will reportedly uncover more mysteries since Archer is back into fighting shape after nearly dying.

As for who's coming back next season, H. Jon Benjamin will surely return to voice Sterling Archer. Judy Greer (Cheryl Tunt), Lucky Yates (Dr. Algernop Krieger), Adam Reed (Ray Gillette), Jessica Walter (Malory Archer), Amber Nash (Pam Poovey), Chris Parnell (voices Cyril Figgis), and Aisha Tyler (Lana Kane) are also expected to return this new season.
