The Masked Singer Season 2 is arriving in two weeks. But ahead of its premiere, new details came into light which served as teasers for the upcoming season.
Nothing much has changed with the contest's premise. The judges and the host will remain the same, just like it did during the pilot run. But in one of the future episodes, T-Pain, who was crowned as the first The Masked Singer champion, will be a guest judge.
Also, the number of contestants has increased from 12 to 16. In previous teasers, the costumes and masks are already introduced. The first set, which comprised of eight figures, includes the Leopard, Eagle, Panda, Butterfly, Flamingo, Skeleton, Fox, and the now popular Egg.
The next six masks and costumes followed a few weeks after the first teaser. And these six figures include the Spider, Rose, Tree, Rottweiler, Ice Cream, and the infamous green furry creature.
While the prominence of the Egg has emerged since then due to its unconventional choice of costume, recent updates have shifted its light on the green furry creature. As per The Wrap, the green furry creature has been named as the Thingamajig, which only made sense after the revelation has been made.
These costumes summed to 14 figures only. So, it means that there will be two more costumes to be revealed soon. But as to when this will happen, no word has been given to the public. Some are even convinced that The Masked Singer Season 2 is saving these two costumes for the near premiere of the show.
For some reason, the fans are even more hyped and eager for the show's arrival due to these two mysterious figures. So, that may be the reason why it has yet to be named.
Aside from the jaw-dropping costumes and masks, reports have also unveiled that the celebrities who will be participating in The Masked Singer Season 2 are all widely-celebrated stars in various industries. In summation, all of the celebrity contestants have garnered over 42 Grammy nominations, 69 Emmy nominations, three New York Times Best-Sellers, and 22 Broadway Shows. Not to mention, two of the celebrity contestants have been recognized by Time Magazine as some of today's Most Influential People.
With these credentials at hand, it only goes to show that Season 2 will be a huge shock to the viewers. Hence, it is not surprising at all why the fans have become so much more eager for the show's premiere.
Fortunately, the premiere is fast-approaching. And The Masked Singer Season 2 is now set to arrive on September 25, on FOX.
