After airing six entertaining episodes for the pilot run, Bless This Mess Season 2 was shortly sealed and now arriving this fall. This ABC's new comedy series has become one of the network's promising materials, which is why it's not surprising why the show was renewed.
Fox originally ordered the pilot of the show. But ABC picked up the first season and premiered in April of this year. At an average note, the whole installment garnered over 4.69 million viewers. And for any pilot season, this figure is quite impressive.
Bless This Mess stars Lake Bell and Dax Shepherd as the young Levine-Young couple from New York who decided to live in Nebraska after Dax's role as Mike obtained a farmhouse left by his aunt for him.
The newlywed couple left the big-city lifestyle to go for a much simpler living with their new farmhouse. But of course, things did not go as expected, considering that they do not have any idea how this kind of lifestyle goes.
For six episodes, the premise of the series centered on how they try to manage the new lifestyle. And while the near-end of the first season has led the couple to more challenging problems in the town, they were able to pull through and decided to continue living in Nebraska.
In an interview with MEA World Wide, series star, JT Neal, who plays the role of Jacob, previously revealed that all of the cast members are happy how the finale went. Although there were no huge cliffhangers and surprising twists, the ending was just fitting for a second season continuation.
He also shared that they've already prepared for Bless This Mess Season 2 even before the pilot season finale. So when the renewal has been confirmed, they were all glad and excited for what is to come.
According to Deadline, the premise of the second season will further expand in terms of the scope of the plot. The first season focused on Mike and Rio's adjustments to their new lifestyle. So for the upcoming season, they are now "bringing" everyone in, especially their neighbors and other key individuals in the community.
It has also been mentioned that Bless This Mess Season 2 will feature new pigs and even "piglets." But as to how these new "characters" will play out in the plot, it is yet to be revealed.
Fortunately, though, the new season is about to arrive. So, the fans and viewers will no longer need to speculate more. Bless This Mess Season 2 is set to air on September 24 on ABC, with the first episode titled, 449, directed by Lake Bell.
