It has already been confirmed that Queen Elsa and Princess Anna of Arendelle will be back in Frozen 2. However, it looks like there is another major player who is expected to return in the highly anticipated sequel to the 2013 Disney film. The first movie's Big Bad Prince Hans of the Southern Isles has also been confirmed to play a huge role in the upcoming flick. In addition to that, there is a huge possibility that the loathsome prince is set for a surprising redemption arc.

In the first movie, Prince Hans was introduced as the seemingly perfect match for Princess Anna. After all, they seemed to hit it off, at first sight, resulting in Anna asking Queen Elsa to allow her to marry Hans. Despite all of the good acts he did for the kingdom, it was later revealed that Hans was planning to take the throne of Arendelle from the sisters. In the end, Hans was arrested and promptly exiled from Arendelle for good.

It seems like the heroines are finally done with Prince Hans after he tried to assassinate both Queen Elsa and Princess Anna. However, it looks like Hans will be back in Frozen 2 despite his exile from Arendelle in the first movie. It was confirmed that Santino Fontana, who provided the voice of Hans in the original film, will return in the sequel. However, it has not yet been revealed whether Hans will continue to be a bad guy or if he is set to change his evil ways.

There are several speculations about the role that Prince Hans will play in Frozen 2. Some believe that he will continue to try and take Arendelle away from Queen Elsa and Princess Anna, taking advantage of their journey in the second film. Hans might gather his forces to attack the kingdom while the sisters are away. On the other hand, a different theory suggests he has changed for the better.

There is a possibility that Prince Hans will finally realize his error and help the sisters in their quest in Frozen 2. His presence might even cause some conflict between Princess Anna and Kristoff, but in the end, Hans might be the one to ultimately save everyone in Arendelle. However, it is important to point out that this is only based on theory. With that in mind, it is best to take it with a grain of salt.

Will Prince Hans of the Southern Isles finally change for the better? Find out when Frozen 2 premieres on November 22.
