Its been a tough few years for Red Velvet's Wendy to have her family so far away, especially for the Chuseok holidays. Wendy's family is based in Canada, and for the past five years since her debut, she has spent the holidays alone.

According to a report by All Kpop, Red Velvet fans have expressed worry about Wendy spending the holidays alone like she has been doing in the past years. According to the Red Velvet member, she opts to stay in the dorm instead of going with her members because she does not want to impose on their time with their own families.

It has been reported that in previous years, Wendy has not been able to take time to visit her family because it takes two days to fly from Korea to Canada. This is also the same problem for her parents to fly from Canada to Korea. However, this year, the Red Velvet member may finally spend a happy Chuseok holiday because she shared that her mom is finally taking the flight to Korea to visit her.

This development could very well be the icing on the cake after Red Velvet's second comeback of the year, The ReVe Festival Day 2 has been met warmly by fans. After releasing their hit single Umpah Umpah, Red Velvet charted their 15th Top 10 hit in Billboard World Digital Sales chart. Their newest dance hit made it to the 9th spot in the list.

Their ReVe Festival Day 2 also topped the iTunes charts 36 different countries all over the world. Fans from the United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Peru, Costa Rica, El Salvador, France, Germany, Greece, Netherlands, Sweden, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Hong Kong, India, Cambodia, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Philippines, and Brunei, joined forces to catapult Irene, Wendy, Seulgi and Yeri to the No.1 spot, Soompi reported.

Red Velvet also topped the brand reputation rankings for Kpop girl groups for September. The survey is conducted by the Korea Institute of Corporate Reputation regularly to monitor the idol group's brand value using indexes, BT reported.
