A lot is expected to happen in The Walking Dead Season 10. After Andrew Lincoln's (Rick) exit, which will be followed by Danai Gurira (Michonne), there are rumors Lauren Cohan (Maggie) will return. There are also assumptions that there will be a Rick-Daryl (Norman Reedus) reunion. But before these things happen, the much-awaited The Whisperer War will finally occur.

AMC has recently dropped a new promo for the new season, heavily teasing the fight against the Whisperers. The show is about to end an era while going out to a new territory.

Fans have known the Whisperers for being one of the series' dangerous antagonists. Daryl and the rest of the group had been in a helpless situation because of them on the previous season. But based on the new teaser, they will redeem themselves and face their greatest enemy.

In another The Walking Dead Season 10 promo released by Skybound, via ScreenRant, the Whisperers are back in the spotlight, while there are also scenes of the much-loved protagonists. It is said to be the "end of the world," but Alpha (Samantha Morton) and the rest of the Whisperers have proved themselves to be the most dangerous foes of the series.

Aside from the Whisperers, there are also other highlighted scenes, like Rosita's (Christian Serratos) new baby and Alpha and Beta (Ryan Hurst) in a final scene together. It looks like the couple is talking about a twisted version of wedding vows.

Meanwhile, this will be the last time fans will see Gurira as Michonne. The 41-year-old star already announced her exit, and showrunner Angela Kang promised Michonne would have a strong arc before she leaves.

In The Walking Dead Season 10 San Diego Comic-Con 2019 trailer, an ending scene showed Michonne wielding Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) signature baseball bat. Now that Rick is Gone and Michonne will follow, there are talks Cohan will return to reprise her role as Maggie.

However, Metro News reported Rick is not done yet with The Walking Dead universe, as he is set to return in the first theatrical film set in the world of the post-apocalyptic horror television series. There are even rumors he may get reunited with his long-time buddy, Daryl. Will it happen in the movie or the show?

As everyone thought Rick is already dead after he sacrificed himself to save his people, he was rescued by Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh). Hence, Rick may come back, and showrunner Scott Gimple is confident about it. "I can't rule that out. Have you seen a little film When Harry Met Sally? That's how they're going to rejoin again," he said about the Rick-Daryl reunion.

Will it happen in The Walking Dead Season 10? Find out when it hits the small screens on Sunday, Oct. 6, on AMC.
