It seems that the fans have long missed the Reagans. But thankfully, Blue Bloods Season 10 is finally arriving soon. And based on the recently released teasers, the Reagans may face new challenges that are filled with action and drama.
The previous season ended happily with Eddie and Jamie’s wedding. However, fans are not satisfied with the scope of the wedding. This is why many are expecting to see the “second” part of the wedding when the new season arrives.
Sadly, the wedding will no longer be part of the new installment. And the way how the wedding was featured the last time will be the finality of it. As it appeared, Blue Bloods Season 10 will now move a few weeks after the big event inside the household.
As per Country Living, the premiere will start with Eddie and Jamie’s search for a new apartment. And this only goes to show that they are now back from their honeymoon. So, the fans will simply need to deal with it as the on-screen couple now start a life of their own.
But aside from the couple’s new movements toward their newly married life, the teasers also featured other dramas and actions surrounding the other characters.
Danny, along with his partner, Maria Baez, will continue to solve a “year-long” homicide. As per TV Insider, the development of this plot will reunite Danny and the medium Maggie. Hence, actress Callie Thorne will return in Blue Bloods Season 10 to reprise her role.
But as revealed by executive producer, Kevin Wade, this reunion to solve the case will bring not only new connections but new dangers as well, especially on Maggie’s part. And this may be the huge point why some of the teasers showed an apparent car explosion with Danny in it.
It has also been revealed that Erin will assume a much more powerful position in the new season. As it happens, she will be named “right hand” of the District Attorney’s office. And certainly, this will result in more tension among the characters involved.
As for Erin’s daughter, Nicki, she is about to announce her decisions about her future. In the previous installments, Nicki spent most of her time working with a civil rights organization. And these advocacies of hers just put her in a position where she now needs to decide whether following the Reagan tradition is good for her or not.
It is worth noting that in the Reagan household, there are only two choices for the future, either become a lawyer or join the force – which, of course, is a huge thing to ponder on. But Nicki will now make her decisions known to the whole family. So, the fans can expect for the Reagan household to continue their family dinners, despite all the dramas and challenges.
Blue Bloods Season 10 is set to premiere on September 27, on CBS.
