CBS’ set of reboot shows is about to arrive this fall. And for Magnum P.I. Season 2, the fans cannot wait any longer considering how the new season is hinted to become much bigger and better than its previous installment.

Very little has been shared about the main plot and premise of the second season. Even so, the key details that have been revealed are already enough to keep the fans all hyped and excited. And recently, a new and huge surprising detail came into the light about the show.

According to TV Insider, crossovers among series in a franchise have become so much more apparent these days. In the world of the Arrowverse, Grey’s Anatomy-Station 19, and One Chicago, crossover episodes are huge. And in the coming weeks, the world of CBS’ reboot shows will also join the said craze.

It has been long teased that a crossover between Magnum P.I. and Hawaii Five-0 will happen soon. And quite surprisingly, these reboot shows are now about to do it. What’s even more exciting about this is that they will feature one of the original stars from the original series in the upcoming episode.

TV Line has learned that the original Hawaii Five-0 star, Larry Manetti, will return in the show for the upcoming crossover. And aside from his return, Manetti is also revealed to reprise his guest-star role as Nicky “The Kid” DeMarco.

Larry Manetti appeared as Nicky in six episodes of the original Hawaii Five-0. And based on his statements, his time on the show before became a huge honor on his part. So when the opportunity came knocking in on his door to return and reprise the role for the reboot, he immediately said yes.

The only detail that has been shared about his part is that he will help Zach Knighton’s Rick in opening the club LaMariana. Plus, he will be playing his iconic scene behind the piano.

This is quite poetic considering that Larry Manetti was the one who played Rick in the original Magnum P.I. a few years back. And it will not be that surprising when both old and new fans would enjoy the upcoming crossover.

There is no release date yet for the said episode. For all the fans and reports know is that it will be featured in the early part of Magnum P.I. Season 2. But since the series is about to premiere in the next few weeks, it is likely for the show to release new details before it drops on the network.

Magnum P.I. Season 2 and Hawaii Five-0 Season 10 will premiere on September 27, on CBS.
