A Million Little Things started with a huge loss. Jon took suicide which impacted his family and friends. With his apparent suicide, this is where the pilot season marked its foundation.
The show’s premise is loosely based on the series creator DJ Nash’s life when his close friend took suicide. So, the entirety of the show is quite personal to him.
When the pilot season reached its conclusion, it seemingly appears that everyone already adjusted with the fact that their friend, Jon, took his own life. Also, they were able to grow from this point that allowed them to move further into their respective lives.
Just before the finale ends, the fans have witnessed how Eddie is now ready to share his huge secret with Katherine. And for all the fans know, this will not end well for the couple. Even so, A Million Little Things Season 2 will pick up from this point.
In an interview with Deadline, DJ Nash revealed several details about the new season. And apart from Eddie and Katherine’s relationship, the other characters’ ties will also be shaken up to the core as they face new challenges and dramas in the coming episodes.
For Rome and Regina, after overcoming each other’s depression and child sexual assault issues, they are now facing a huge concern in their marriage. They’ve committed to having no child in the relationship. But things will take a huge turn when A Million Little Things Season 2 arrives.
As for Maggie and Gary, their relationship has been all about her cancer. While she intended not to fight it at first, Gary became her reason to fight for her life in the end. But now that she’s “cancer-free,” no one knows how the relationship will go considering that they’ve started everything based on this. So, it will be a huge mystery of how the two will go on from here.
While the surrounding dramas, challenges, and chaos among the characters of the show may seem to take the spotlight of the new season, TV Line has reiterated that someone will die in Season 2. No one knows who this person will be. However, it has been revealed that the fans and viewers know this person.
The same is true for the character’s way of death as it is not unveiled whether it will be because of suicide again, or disease, or an accident. Even so, this death in the next season will impact everyone in ways they could not know and imagine. And needless to say, the second season will be a huge installment filled with dramas, heartaches, and tears.
A Million Little Things Season 2 premieres on September 26, on ABC.
