With only three episodes left, Chesapeake Shores Season 4 might not end well as what the fans hope for. The fourth season just started three weeks ago, but since the fourth installment consists only a total of six episodes, the finale is just around the corner waiting to happen.
The current course of the plot is not delightful in the eyes of the fandom. While it started with a surprising emotional proposal from Kevin, which the fans have joyfully celebrated, the recent episodes are hinting that it will not be a happy ending.
After Kevin and Sarah got engaged, Meg has been busy organizing everything for the newly engaged couple. Although the wedding plans seem to go along Meg’s way, Sarah and Kevin feel the other way around.
As it appears, the couple now feels “pressured” as per Celebrating The Soaps. And the upcoming episode will largely feature this aspect of the course. Even so, it is hinted that Sarah and Kevin will choose to elope instead.
Quite obviously, this will break Meg’s heart considering that she has already expressed her emotions toward the family after Mitch pushed her out of the family’s lives. And certainly, this will cause new tensions and dramas among the members of the O’Brien clan.
Aside from Sarah and Kevin’s upsetting decision, the upcoming episode of Chesapeake Shores Season 4 also reveals that Trace and Abby might not happen, yet. Many fans have been long shipping the supposed “sweethearts” to finally seal the deal. But due to recent dramas between the two, Trace is seemingly inclining toward moving on from Abby.
Based on the synopsis, Trace will find a great company in the arms of Emma. And after spending a great amount of time together, not to mention, overcoming each other’s challenges in terms of the latter’s stage-fright, this will bring the two characters much closer. Accordingly, the supposed relationship between Abby and Trace might be paused for quite a while.
Nevertheless, actor Jesse Metcalfe, who plays the role of Trace, revealed in an interview with Parade that Abby and Trace might be the endgame after all. So, fans will just have to wait to witness this shortly. But it is worth considering that if Chesapeake Shores aren't renewed for a new season, then this possible bright future for the characters might not see the light. And this makes the fans more worried about the show and the characters.
Chesapeake Shores Season 4 will continue its course with its fourth episode on September 15, on Hallmark Channel.
