The 13 Reasons Why Season 3 featured great mysteries with the death of Bryce Walker (Justin Prentice) and Montgomery De La Cruz (Timothy Granaderos). Now that Monty is gone and being blamed for Bryce's murder, will the truth still come out in 13 Reasons Why Season 4? Will Granaderos return in another form in the next installment - either as a ghost or through flashbacks?

In an interview with TVLine, Granaderos described his character died a little too soon that let the real murders of Bryce, Alex (Miles Heizer) and Jessica (Alisha Boe), get away from it. The 33-year-old star admitted there are a still a lot of tales to unveil with his character's story, as the fans only started to know who he was and what he wanted.

"It was a tragic ending to his story, but you never know what's going to happen next," Granaderos teased. Will Monty return in 13 Reasons Why Season 4? Is he still alive after all that happened?

"I would like to think so, and with the way we tell our stories, it's always a possibility," he explained about his character's possible return. However, Granaderos cleared he still has no idea what would happen next, and he also doesn't want to work forever if he ever comes back.

Meanwhile, as Monty was not the only that knew the truth about Bryce's death, Granaderos hopes Winston (Deaken Bluman) would finally speak in 13 Reasons Why Season 4. "I hope he tears the whole establishment down and reveals everything," he said.

But, as Granaderos is also a fan of the show, he wants some characters to get away with it and just move on. With the stressful life at Liberty, and they have been all in a "turbulent, tumultuous journey," they all deserve to be at peace.

Netflix has commissioned the show to return for another season on Aug. 1, per RadioTimes. However, the streaming giant has yet to announce its official release date, and fans are having a hard time predicting when it will be coming out.

The series is not following a release pattern since it hit the media-services provider for the first time in March 2017. Season 2 was out in May 2018, while Season 3 was dropped in August 2019. With the different timelines, it may take more than a year before 13 Reasons Why Season 4 will hit the small screens once again. But if there is one thing that audiences are sure of, it may have the same number of episodes, 13, when it gets released.
